MetaKart Racing is our crown jewel, our pride and joy. With MetaKart Racing, we aim to set a bar so high that it inspires other developers to create more creative and imaginative content for the Meta Quest platform. No guns, no weapons, just high-speed thrills, strategic items, socialization, and pure joy.
Our vision is to transport players back to the golden days of 90s gaming, revitalized with modern technologies and innovative features. MetaKart Racing features eight racers, adventure, and offline. We use machine learning agents in offline mode to provide a realistic and robust sense of artificial intelligence.
MetaKart Racing offers two distinct modes:
The use of different vehicles, Meta Avatars/Characters, and items keeps the gameplay fresh and creative:
Players can extensively customize their characters, vehicles, and use their Meta Avatars, creating a unique and personalized social racing experience.
Inspired by Fortnite, Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong Racing, MetaKart Racing is designed to be a continuously evolving game. We plan to update and re-energize the game for the next decade, leveraging the cost of development while keeping the game fresh with seasonal updates, add-ons, challenges, and other social features.
Multiple unique worlds keep the thrill alive as players explore gorgeous landscapes they never thought they’d witness. All of our tracks are reactive, meaning the tracks can change in mood and temperament depending on how each player interacts with them and the NPCs around them.
World Interactions and Player Interactions keep the game centered in VR by immersing the player in the world around them. Being able to grab items from the world and use those same items to interact with players is exciting. Imagine grabbing a coconut, throwing it at an NPC, and the NPC charging toward the players behind you, forcing you to jump out the way. These kinds of scenarios simply haven’t been created or thought of until now.
Boss races are scattered throughout the game, including online mode, adding excitement and variety. There are multiple moments where tracks force players to either work separately or together, creating different experiences.
Using trap mode or attack mode, the AimSight system automatically switches to the mode needed for the item you are holding. This allows players to focus on the race and use items without having to reach around or take their eyes off the track. No feature requires you to remove focus from the race if you choose not to. Leveraging our AimSight system reduces the necessary hand movements, giving players a familiar way to use items. This helps new and older players understand the game more easily and use muscle memory for controls they are already used to.
These are the main features regarding MetaKart Racing. As we continue to go through the process with Meta/Oculus, we will continue to update our plans. In the coming weeks, we will disclose more of what we can, if we can, and we are so glad you are with us on this ride.
